Ripon/Green Lake Chapter Presents Getting Your Ducks in a Row
About this event
Important conversations about finances, legal planning, and end-of-life wishes are often delayed because they can feel overwhelming. The Professional Women’s Connection will host “Getting Your Ducks in a Row,” aims to make these topics more approachable by providing a welcoming space for women to learn the basics of planning ahead.
The event will take place Thursday, April 16 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at Divine Passage Funeral Home in Ripon and will feature a conversation with three local professionals who specialize in financial planning, estate law, and funeral preplanning. Attendees will hear from Kristy Martin, owner and licensed funeral director at Divine Passage Funeral Home, who will share insights about funeral preplanning and how communicating wishes ahead of time can ease stress for loved ones.
Emily E. Parks, attorney at Parks Law Offices, will discuss estate planning and the importance of documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
Julie Gurkowski-Koehn, financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial, will provide guidance on financial planning and ways individuals can protect and prepare their financial future. The event will be moderated as a relaxed conversation where attendees can learn about financial planning basics, the importance of estate planning documents such as wills and powers of attorney, and how to preplan funeral arrangements. Women who attend will leave with practical insights, helpful resources, and a better understanding of how planning ahead can provide peace of mind for themselves and the people they care about.
