David Gallianetti is an active community member who has more than 30 years of professional experience in communications, marketing and leadership.

 

David is in his 22nd year as Director of External Relations at Lakeland University, overseeing a team that tells Lakeland’s story and manages the university’s brand. He has served Lakeland in numerous roles including a variety of current and previous committee assignments. A native of Illinois, he moved to Sheboygan in 1993 for a job at the Sheboygan Press, where he spent seven of his 11 years as a newspaper reporter.

 

He was elected to the Sheboygan Area School District Board of Education in 2002 and is currently in his seventh 3-year term on the board. He has served as the board’s president for over a decade. David also serves on the Board of Directors for United Way of Sheboygan County, the Stefanie H. Weill Center and the Elkhart Lake Chamber of Commerce. He has previously served on the Boards of the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra and the Sheboygan County Historical Research Center.

 

David has served as a mentor for numerous students in his role at Lakeland and he finds great joy in watching young people learn their calling and enjoy success while living their passion.
