About the speaker Sara Steffes Hansen is chair and associate professor in strategic communication for the Department of Journalism. She earned her Ph.D. in mass communication at UW Madison. She holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the University of Colorado-Denver and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from UW Eau Claire. Hansen’s research has explored brand and strategic communication in interactive media related to videogames, consumer behavior, political image-making and activism.
