Biography

Brittney Maehl, PMP®; Naval Academy Graduate and former Surface Warfare Officer


Brittney Maehl was born and raised in the Fox Cities. After graduating Hortonville High School in 2005, Brittney attended the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD with a congressional nomination from Senator Herb Kohl. May 22, 2009, Brittney graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science- International Relations and a minor in German. She was commissioned as a Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy. Brittney was stationed in Norfolk, VA deploying to the Persian Gulf on various Large Deck Amphibious ships. In addition to Surface Warfare, she helped lead efforts in Operations and Engineering and served in roles such as the ship’s electronic warfare officer, assistant combat operations officer, electrical officer, and internal communications officer. After transitioning to the civilian workforce, Brittney has worked in Defense Project and Program Management for BAE Systems in MD, Fairbanks Morse Engine in Beloit, WI and Oshkosh Defense/Corporation in Oshkosh, WI. In her 8yrs with Oshkosh Corporation, Brittney served as the Project Manager for Software and C4I Systems on the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) and is now supporting New Product Development projects across the Oshkosh Enterprise as a Corporate Risk Manager. 

Brittney serves as the Rally Champion on the Oshkosh Corporation Military Network’s steering committee. She graduated the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Oshkosh Program in 2022. Brittney is a proud single mother of eleven-year old, Braylon Howard. Braylon and Brittney spend their free time volunteering in the community, playing sports, and participating in fun cultural events/activities in the area.
