About this event

American Alchemy, located in downtown Ripon, was founded by Adrienne Rank on the idea that true alchemy is turning creativity into connection—making something beautiful from nothing by designing her own jewelry, creating space for other small businesses to grow, and fostering community through in-store events.

Her persistence paid off when American Alchemy was selected as one of just 500 businesses nationwide to receive a $10,000 Backing Small Businesses grant from Main Street America and American Express in 2024. The grant helped fund technology upgrades, storefront improvements, and an expanded heavy-denim section.

Attendees will hear Adrienne share her story of growth, resilience, and the power of seeking support—from community partners to family—while building a business aligned with her passion and values.

The event also proudly highlights Ripon Dough Company, a new women-owned bakery located just steps away at 223 Watson Street. Founded by daughter-mother duo Brittany Rehn and Beth Dardis, Ripon Dough Co. was born from a shared love of baking and a desire to build community through small business. Their handmade desserts will be featured during the evening, adding a sweet local touch to the gathering.

By attending this PWC event, guests will directly support two women-owned small businesses, celebrate entrepreneurship, and enjoy delicious local treats while connecting with others who value professional growth and community. The cost to attend is $10, with appetizers and refreshments included. Registration is required and closes at noon on Tuesday, February 17.
