Dawn A. Shearrow is the Visiting Assistant Professor of Business Administration for the Noonan School of Business, Engineering, and Innovation at Loras College located in Dubuque, IA. She currently teaches HRM, OB, Principles of Management, Business Seminar (Capstone) and most recently is teaching Social Entrepreneurship, a course proposed during the prior academic year.

Dr. Shearrow received her BA in management and leadership, along with her MBA and master’s in organizational leadership at Judson University. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater with a Doctorate in Business Administration with concentrations in HRM, ethical leadership, and organizational behavior. She has over twenty years of industry experience in operations, management, and leadership as well as owning and operating several businesses with her husband. She has been teaching in higher education domestically and internationally for over eight years which include institutions such as Concordia University of Wisconsin, UW-Whitewater, UW-Oshkosh, and the University of Rhode Island. Her first two publications accepted to the Encyclopedia of Business and Professional Ethics consisted of one chapter for Human Resource Management and one chapter for Stakeholder Theory. Dr. Shearrow continues to research in her discipline which also includes reviewing for journals.

Although Dr. Shearrow resides in the Appleton/Green Bay Wisconsin area, she spends Monday through Thursday on the Loras Campus. She enjoys the extra time connecting with students, attending the many sports events, and working with colleagues on different committees and projects. She is very blessed to have achieved so much and now having the opportunity to be immersed fully in her calling.
